- Exam fee (Rs. 80) exempted for: SC, ST, BC and Ex-Servicemen; families holding a Household Supply White Card (A.P. residents); and unemployed youth as per G.O.Ms.No.439 (declaration required).
- Exempted-category candidates from other states are not entitled to fee exemption or reservation.

Qualification and Physical Standards
- Educational Qualification: Passed Intermediate Examination or its equivalent.
- Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.

- Minimum height is relaxable by 5 cm for Gurkhas, Nepalese, Assamese, NAFA, Naga, Manipur, Gauhati, Kummoni, Sikkimese, Bhutanese and Scheduled Tribes.
- For Scheduled Tribe candidates, if the quota cannot be filled, standards may go down to 158 cm height and 78.8 cm chest with 5 cm expansion.
- Candidate should have normal eyesight. Physical measurement certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Civil Assistant Surgeon is required.
- Posts in scheduled (Agency) areas are exclusively reserved for local Scheduled Tribe candidates, as per the notification.

Horizontal reservation for women: 1 post (ST) in ASR (Agency) and 1 post (BC-E) in Y.S.R. Kadapa. Reservation for local candidates follows the A.P. Presidential Order 2025, as stated in the notification.
Selection Process and Exam Pattern
- Written Examination (CBRT): Computer based test, followed by an essay qualifying test.
- Walking Test (qualifying): Male candidates must walk 25 km in 4 hours and female candidates 16 km in 4 hours. It carries no marks.
- Medical Examination: Conducted by a Medical Board at Rajahmundry. Candidates are shortlisted in the ratio of 1:2 against vacancies.
- Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): Qualifying in nature, as per the G.O. cited in the notification.
- Final Selection: Based on written exam marks, following roster points and bonus marks.

- Minimum qualifying marks: OC, Sportspersons, Ex-Servicemen and EWS 40%, Backward Classes 35%, SC and ST 30%.
- NCC bonus marks: “C” Certificate 5 marks, “B” Certificate 3 marks, “A” Certificate 1 mark.
- Question paper is in English and Telugu. English version is treated as authentic.
- Exam centres: erstwhile 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
